Dog Cure for Eating Bones

If you dog has eaten a bone and is having problems with having a bowel movement here's a tip! Go to the grocery store and pick up some pumpkin - not pie filling, but pumpkin. Give them a spoon or two in with their food and the problem will disappear. If you can't find canned pumpkin - try some mashed yams.

Caring for Jewelry

I have been in jewelry busines fo several years and would like to share some tips with you:

1) Store silver in plastic bags to help retard tarnishing

2) Do not wear jewelry in Chlorine pools - it breaks down metals and loosens prongs resulting in stone loss

3) Do not put silver in professional cleaners that have gold in - chemical reaction will ruin your silver

4) Many stones are treated - do not put jewelry with any stones except Red (ruby), White (diamonds) and Blue (sapphire) into professional cleaners

5) Never clean pearls and opal with anything but a damp moist rag! They are very delicate

Removing Spots on Furniture

An older antique dealer friend of mine who has passed away now taught me this trick! Put cigarette ashes on watermarks on wood furniture and rub. Let sit for a few minutes and wipe clean - repeat for better results! Then polish and finish should come back up. Thanks Jack - RIP old friend.
