Hmm, is that anything like Hobo Stew? I remember hubby making that when we were visiting my family. Mom had said she had always known it as tatter tot casserole.
I'm not sure on the details, like I said hubby made it, but it had tatter tots, chopped hot dogs, baked beans, onions, and some other stuff for the sauce/flavoring.
If it sounds familiar I can ask the hubby for the recipe for you.

It has layers of tater tots and hamburger and other things. Popular in the midwest.
